Archie has studied Civil Engineering (FTCC), Sociology (CSN), and Business (WGU).
Bio
Archie has been in the human services field since 1997 and part of the nonprofit, New Vista since 2005. Archie has worked with troubled youth/teens, mental health, and people who have intellectual/developmental disabilities. The majority of his career has been working with IDD/MH individuals. Archie has attracted and retained an amazing team of professionals dedicated to the success of the members New Vista serves. Archie has led New Vista to expand services and programs and to be a well-respected provider of residential services in Nevada. He has accomplished this by championing innovative changes and policies that are in the best interest of everyone involved. Archie has worked with people with disabilities in almost every position possible. He has served as a Direct Support Staff, House Manager, Program Coordinator, Quality Assurance Specialist, Executive Program Director, and became the Executive Director of New Vista in 2014.
Archie is an Army Veteran, PSI-Seminars Graduate, active Prince Hall Mason since 1994, and Shriner since 1995 as well as a Community Activist and Organizer. Archie has led and implemented volunteer programs throughout the Las Vegas community.
Mary Modica
Director of Finance
Mary has over 25 years of experience in accounting, twelve of these years specifically in the non-profit sector.
Previous to her non-profit career experience, she was employed in the transportation and manufacturing industries.
Mary has resided in Las Vegas since 1990. She is attending Regis University, completing courses required for a BS in Accounting, and working on other studies.
Mary and her husband keep busy supporting their son in his music studies.
Roseann DiVirgilio
HR Manager
Roseann DiVirgilio is the Human Resources Manager at New Vista, a role she has held since 2017. With over 15 years of experience in Retail Management and HR combined, Roseann’s career began with “Toys R Us” where she worked for 14 years. Her years in the retail industry helped her develop the necessary skills to become an effective HR executive, including effective communication skills, adaptability and problem-solving skills, a strong work ethic, and a desire to help our Members and the entire team here at New Vista achieve their own success in the work-place.
Originally from New York, Ms. DiVirgilio has been on the west coast for over 17 years now. She has a background in musical theater and a flare for the arts. She comes from a big, wonderful Italian family, and her biggest personal accomplishment is being a mom, which she considers to be the best job in the world.
Ms. DiVirgilio is committed to the strategic alignment of the organization’s goals and core values, and as part of the team, she works hard to achieve a common goal. Roseann is honored to be a part of and work for New Vista and its mission. Her passion for helping others and her experience in HR make her an invaluable asset to the organization.
Juanita Bell
Program Manager
Juanita Bell is a social services professional who has spent the last 17 years with New Vista. Ms. Bell is known for her dedication to serving others and helping them reach their full potential. She has a talent for fostering a positive and supportive environment where people feel valued and included. Her experience in both the social services and business sectors has provided her with a unique skillset that she has used to benefit New Vista’s members.
Originally from South Carolina, Ms. Bell began her career working with troubled teens at Lancaster County Children and Youth Services, where she taught them life skills and helped them navigate through difficult stages in their lives. She also fostered at-risk youth, providing them with support and empowerment as they worked toward independent and productive lives.
After transitioning to the business sector, Ms. Bell worked for Charlotte Pipe & Foundry, where she quickly rose to key positions in the company’s training and quality assurance departments. She later began her career at New Vista as a House Manager and was later promoted to Member Services Coordinator. Ms. Bell has worked in various positions within the organization, including Supported Living Arrangements, Destination Discovery Respite Program, and as a Life Skills Instructor in the original New Vista homes. She currently serves as Program Manager and supports all related member services.
Ms. Bell is a natural leader and mentor who creates a sense of belonging and family for New Vista’s members and team members, empowering and encouraging them to live life to the fullest. She is an integral partner of the New Vista Development Team and supports the department in event planning of agency-wide celebrations, weekend events, and vacations and activities with our Members. Ms. Bell also plays a key role as a volunteer in New Vista’s Give Back Program and serves on numerous board committees. She regularly volunteers with ZETA PHI Beta Sorority Inc., St. Jude’s, and the weekly Give Back Monday program supporting the Las Vegas homeless population.
Overall, Ms. Bell’s passion for service, natural leadership abilities, and dedication to helping others has made her an asset to New Vista and the communities it serves.
